Change shape background color on a visio stencil

Hello,

does somebody know how to change the background color of a shape already
inserted to a stencil?

The problem is that I have to use a transparent image. When I drop it to the
stencil, the background is transparent and the image quality is really bad
(unrecognizable). If the background color of the image is white, the icon has
a good quality and is recognizable.

Thanks, udo

a. put the stencil into Edit mode
b. for your shape, right-click, Edit Master -> Master Properties
turn off "Generate icon automatically"
c. back to the shape, right-click, Edit Master -> Edit Icon Image
d. fill in your background with white

Is there a way to do this via a VBA command?

Thanks, udo

an alternative is to also save the image with a white background, copy
the icon, then go back to the original, follow the steps outlines
earlier, instead of editing the shape, just clear the whole image and
paste in the new one.

Do you know if it possible to modify the icon background directly with VBA?
Because doing the paste version requires always manual operations... (and a
32x32 image...)

Yep, but it does not show a background color property. Actually I think that
it can only be edited manually... Copy & Paste an image or pixel by pixel...
Which is a pretty slow and boring functionality...
