Change text to date in reverse order

I have a file that I would like to import into Access, it's in a .csv format.
The date field is in a text format and is shown as 080115. How do I convert
it into a date format and show it as 01/15/08? Any help is really
appreciated. Thanks!!

Pat that was not my intention...I was experiencing problems posting my
question to the forum....the original question that I posted to the forum was
made four days ago...since I did not see it, I reposted....only to see that
finally my question was posted (a few days later)....and it included all
other attempts too. Is there anyway I can remove a posting? I really hope
that no one gets annoyed or thinks any ill of my attempts to seek help.
