Change the default font for text boxes in Powerpoint 2007

In the presentations I create it is necessary to add a lot of text boxes to
label figures. Everytime I have to change the font from Times New Roman to
Arial. How can I change the default font so that I don't have to change each
text box? I remember being able to do this in earlier versions of Powerpoint.

Note: I did find how to change the default title and body fonts for my
theme so that is not my issue.

Thanks.

With nothing highlighted or selected, just change the font to the one you
want. All subsequent text boxes should now be that font/size.

That doesn't seem to work in PowerPoint 2007. If nothing is selected, I
cannot access the font area in the tool bar.

Sorry, didn't realise it was 2007 as the heading cut off in the middle of
Powerpoint on my screen. I don't have 2007 on my machine any more - went back
to 2003, but am surprised that you can't access the fonts. Can you access
fonts on the slide master?

Thank you very much. That does work.

You're right, it's very fiddly. I had tried that trick but all I got was
the copy-move menu. After trying a few times, I finally got a different menu.

It's too bad MicroSoft doesn't put this kind of information in the help
file. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation.

Thanks so much for your help.

Just to play devil's advocate... So why is 2007 so much more difficult than
previous versions. I had the same question as PaulaF. Setting the default
font was always easy before, now I feel like I spend all my time hunting and
pecking around for things that used to be easy, but now are hard. What MORON
would make their product MORE ONerous to use?
