Change the drop down box showing My Notebook contents

I would like the ability to make the drop down box that shows the varous
folders and sections in My Notebook able to be permanently visible. I would
like it to stay open so I can drag and drop pages and items and sections
around, and also to navigate the whole notebook more conveniently. Thank
you.

There are a lot of usability improvements slated for OneNote 12. I know
it doesn't help you now (those features, as you've noticed, are not in
the current version, and all development of new features are devoted to
the new version) but MS does listen to this feedback and is incorporating
some of it in ON12.
