Change the font color in ShapeSheet

T

twingate

Hi all!

This may seem really silly but I really prefer a dark windows look. I have no
troubles with this in any other app but Visio and specifically the ShapeSheet
row definition fort which is bright red and impossible to read.

Is there some way to change the color of this font?

Thanks,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

There's a registry setting, which carries an RGB value, that you can change,
but bear in mind the usual warnings about fiddling with the registry if
you're not familiar with it. (From MS "Warning If you use Registry Editor
incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to
reinstall your operating system.") So changes are down to you!

If you're still keen to go ahead then check out this link on backing up the
registry:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/

.... and then edit this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Visio\Colors\ColorNameCellLabel

Note - to view all of the registry settings you may need to check the "Put
all setting in Windows registry" checkbox under Tools / Options / Advanced
tab.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John
