We have been working in a database using user-level security for about a year
now. Recently we added two new employees. When I used the Tools- Security -
User and Group Accounts to add new user IDs they added with no problem. The
new users are able to login using a blank password but when they go to the
same location Tools- Security - User and Group Accounts to change the
password they get the message 'You do not have the necessary permissions to
use ABC_Security.mdw'. I know this is how other users changed their
passwords. Just to check I tried to log in using another user account that
is not a member of the admin group and it too got the message about not
having permissions. Admin users have no problems getting to the change
password form but not other users.
Any ideas about what I should do?
Thanks,
Kathleen
