change working time - Exception tab missing

P

Hi, I am trying to change the resource calendar by adding an exception
as vacation day. But I am not seeing the "Exception" tab when I choose
the " Change working time" option. Please see the attachment for screen
shot. When I initially started working with Project I was able to see
the "Exception" tab, but not now. I don't know if I changed any setting
that led to this problem. Kindly help.

I don't have a copy of Project 2003 in front of me to compare, but your screenshot
looks like 2003. There is no Exception option in that program. It's only
in 2007.

Hello polymath999,

Andrew is correct. The screen shot is for Project 2003 which does
not have an "exception" tab as Project 2007 does. To create
nonworking time in Project 2003, simply select the date or dates and
click the "Non-working time" radio button to the right side of the
dialog.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks Andrew and Julie. Yes I have Project 2003. I will proceed with
Julie's advice of selecting "Non working time".
