change zero to slashed zero??

Brad Schmitz

Can the look of a 'zero' be changed to look like a 'slashed zero'?
I'm trying to track our computer system info. and 'MAC' addresses use
letters and numbers.
It would make it earier for quick glance identification.

Thanks David,
The WST_Engl is exactly what I was looking for. I know there's a difference
between the letter O and the number zero 0 but when they're not next to each
other or they're used alone and you need to know which it is, it can get
confusing.
Again, Thank You very much.

Hi Brad,
I think you would want to choose or find a font that has that look,
take a look through CharMap using the arrow key.

WST_Engl appears to meet your requirement, of course,
that would be dependent whether you have that font or not...
Lettering IRON 014 appears distinguishable.

I reference the CharMap from my Excel toolbar menu
and include the icon in the menu.

Hi Brad,

If you only want cells with zero values to display a Ø, you can do it with a
custom number format such as #,##0;-#,##0;Ø, where the Ø is produced by the
Alt-0216 key combination. This won't affect any calculations, since only the
display formatting has been changed - the underlying 0 is still there.

Cheers
