Thank you so much for your prompt and helpful reply. The instructions you
provided made complete sense; unfortunately my system did not offer the
same
prompts halfway through the process. I neglected to mention that I am
using
Windows XP; I tried that path as well, but even those prompts did not
resemble mine after a point. I also underestimated the significance of the
fact that my "lost" document, which shows up in my recent files window and
in
an internet "hidden file" format under "my computer" is located in an "F"
drive, which does not exist. I'm guessing I am cooked. But thank you once

message I opened and added 7 pages of notes to an email attachement. I forgot
to
"save as", rather saved the changes onto the attachment. I can locate
the
document in "my computer", but cannot open it. This information is very
important. Help!
