Changed font not sticking when I exit / reload Outlook

All,
Please Help! I'm having the most infuriating problem with Outlook 2003. I change my font in Tools -> Options -> Mail Format -> Fonts and it works until I exit and reload Outlook, then I'm back to the default. I've used Outlook for YEARS and never had this happen?
