Changed Hyperlink Option in 2003

The Hyperlink option in Outlook 2003 no longer has the Browse feature that
makes adding a hyperlink easy to an email. Is there a way to get this back in
the new Outlook client?

you can change message format, but note that you should only use rtf with
other outlook users.

I'm already using Word as my email editor so formatting is not the issue. I'm
looking at the Browse function no longer being available. Can I get a direct
way of inserting a hyperlink back? There is no way that my end users can use
this function now, it is worthless in its present form. WHY DID MICROSOFT
MAKE SOMETHING THAT WAS SO EASY SO DIFFICULT?

Aloha Timothy,

It does have the browse function. Towards the top of the Insert Hyperlink
window there is a button with a picture of a globe with a magnifying glass.
It's just to the right of the "Look In" field. Click that and you can browse
the Internet.

No the browse function isn't like the all Hyperlink. I do not need to go to
the Internet, I need to place a link into an email for a file path to a
shared folder on our network File server. Need of these insights apply to the
CHANGED interface that now comes up the Outlook 2003. How do I get that back?

Another question: how do I get the Insert Hyperlink function to start
in a different folder? It defaults to My Documents, which contains a
ton of files, so I have to wait *seconds* (seems like an eternity) for
the dialogue to populate.
I've copied the url into my buffer, so all I need to do is paste - I
don't need to browse for anything. How do I get around this?

TIA.
