I use a excel- sheet based on a microsoft query for
generating reports. Due to changes done to the file
structure in the company, drives with the databases the
query retrieves the data from, were changed. I updated the
query, but the data in the sheet were not changed, the
original query is still used further. The result is the
same either I edit the query with notepad or using the
query editor. Only changing the query from within Excel
changes the data. For doing the changes effectively my
idea was to do the changes by editing the queries as
textfiles using the search and replace functionallity.
Does anybody did the same experiences and know the
solution for?
