Changes in Actual Work make change in Work: isn't true everytime

Background:
- SP1 + hotfix Server side
- SP2 client side
- Timesheet View
Scenario:
- There's a task with 10 h of Work (scheduled). A resource updates Actual
Work as 20h. Automatically the view updates the Work to 20h. If the resource
changes (before sending to PM for approval and, anyway with NO SAVE ) again
the Actual Work , for example to 12h, the system DOESN'T UPDATE THE WORK to
12h!!!!!
So, changes in Actual Work make change in Work, isn't true everytime. If the
Actual Work is higher than Work, there is no way to come back to the old
value of work.

Reduce remaining work.

Thanks for ur reply Reid.
It is not as simple as u said.
Infact, you have to reduce to zero the Remaining Work firts and after set
the Work to the original value. Maybe should be better , if the
functionallity of saving the inputed value of actual work should be addresed
to the button SAVE CHANGES (at the top of the page) only.
Take in account that, when the timesheet is sent to PM and he approves, the
Project Plan is updated with the incorrect value of WORK (even if the
resource has corrected the Actual Work)....

Are you using managed time periods? Is this an Administrative project?
