changing a document from excel to works

I have a document that was done in excel 2000. How do I
open it with WIndows XP when I don't have excel? I only
have works. PLEASE HELP!

If all you want to do is view the file, you could use the free viewer from MS:
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx

An alternative: You may want to download a 60 meg file from OpenOffice.org.
I'm not sure it supports all the features that xl does, though.

You may also want to go back to the author and ask if they could save it as a
version that works could read. (I don't use works, so I'm not sure how old it
has to be.)
