changing a document to PDF

Im using MS Word 2007, trying to attach cover letter and resume from the
document folder but it wont accept unless it is in PDF, RichText, .doc or
exe. What do I do so that I can send this?

Save As and change the file type.

For PDF you will have to download and install the PDF add-in
