If you have the document open in word choose Save As...
Then when the title comes you change to desired name.
This create a Brand new document and you can't use undo to undo any
previous changes. But by doing so it gets rid of all the overhead of
keeping information added or subtracted from being Tacked on to end of
Document. Thus it Might actually reduce the file size by half or more.
If you don't have word open go to what ever folder your using for your
word documents locate the file and click on the name. will change to a
bounding box around the title. Place the cursor where desired and change
name as appropriate. Then you will have to double click on document to
associate it with word or open word and look for the file. Once found it
will automatically open.
How do you change a file name in Documents?
