changing "AAA Group, The" setting

When I enter a contact or company name, I want it to
appear, and be saved, in the exact way that I typed it
in. Instead, "The AAA Group" is changed to "AAA Group,
The" for example. I played with the Tools->Options-

Contact Options->Deault "File As" order settings but

they don't seem to have any effect. How do I change this
behavior?
