Changing all document track changes modifiers to "Author"

Jeff Cameron

I'm on a MAC using Office 2004 specifically "Word".

I have a document with multiple tracked changes from different people. I
have to distribute this document to all members of my Homeowners association
showing the markup without indicating the names of the multiple people who
have made the proposed changes.

How can I change all the names of the current markup to "Author", or remove
the names altogether?

Thank you in advance.

Word>Preferences>Security and check "Remove personal information from this
file on save."

That affects only the file that is open at the time.

Be aware that if they send it back with MORE changes in it, the document may
be in a pretty fragile state. You may have to de-corrupt it when you get it
back before making the final version. "Changes within changes within
changes" gets very messy and can lead to unreliable documents.

Cheers
