We have installed a firewall which prevents users from accessing certain
internet sites. From Word (or any other office package for that matter), the
message received when trying to use a URL link within the document is "Unable
to open http:\\ .......... etc. Cannot download the information you
requested". We would like to code this so a more meaningful message appears,
such as "The web address you are trying to link to is a prohibited site".
However, because the error message Word gives is always different (depending
on the http:\\ [address] I'm not sure how to go about this. Has anyone
managed to do this?
