Changing anti-virus software

i changed my anti-virus software. My MS Office still thinks that I have my
old anti-virus software. It takes almost 2 minutes to scan the document,
just to realize I don't have the other software. Is there anyway to change
the defualt virus scan for Office or disable the scan entirly?

Check the options of your AV app, the facility to integrate the Office
plugin will be there.
And in Office check the plugins enabled.
