Changing attachment name in notes field

In Outlook 2000, you could change the name of an
attachment on a contact in the notes field (under
properties)and it would display correctly. In Outlook
2003, the original name of the file displays in the notes
field even though you can open properties and see the new
name. Also, if you right click a contact and view
attachments, the name is displayed correctly. Is there a
way to make the new name display correctly in the notes
field???
