Changing Booking Type on Enterprise Resources when Archiving Projects

I read through the thread, "Project Status - Archiving/Closing a Project"
because we also are looking for a way to archive projects.

I went to the referenced link,
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/ArchiveCompletedProjects.htm.

I read the document titled, "How do I archive completed projects in the
production Project Server database?" I can see how this will work, however,
regarding the Note: on Step #4 below, since we are using Enterprise
Resources, I cannot change the Booking value for the team members within the
project. It comes up grayed out, as if in a read-only mode.

Am I out of luck or is there another solution for Enterprise Resources?

====================================================
Archive Completed Projects

When a project team completes a project, the project manager should
immediately do the following:

1. Open the completed project in Microsoft Project Professional
2. Click Project - Project Information, set the Production Status field
value to Completed, and then click OK
3. Click Tools - Build Team from Enterprise
4. Set the Booking value for each project team member to Proposed and
then click OK
5. Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information
6. Save and close the completed project

Note: Step #4 above is vital to the archiving process, as it will remove the
task assignments from each team member's timesheet in Project Web Access for
the completed project.

I have never seen a project in which the Booking type cannot be changed for
resources. Do you have this problem with one project, many projects, or all
projects? Let us know.

Oops! My mistake...I wasn't doing it right. I was using the Details...
button which was showing me grayed-out fields on the other list, the
Enterprise Resources. If I double-click on an individual Team Resource, I
can open up the Resource Information and change the Booking Type.

We have many resources on each project. Can I achieve the same result by
using a Resource Sheet view and selecting multiple resources, then changing
the Booking type to "Proposed"?

Thanks for responding!

To rapidly change the resources in a project from Committed to Proposed, do
the following:

1. Open the project
2. Click View - Resource Sheet
3. Right-click on the Type column header
4. From the shortcut menu, select Insert Column
5. Select the Booking Type column and click the OK button
6. Select a Booking Type value for the first resource and press the Enter
key
7. Use your mouse pointer to "grab" the fill handle in the Booking Type
cell for the first resource (its the little black box in the lower right
corner of the cell) and then pull down to fill the value for all resources
8. Save the project

Hope this helps.
