Changing Booking Type

Can you change a resource from committed to proposed on a specific
project if they already have actual work on that project? I've opened
the project and tried to change it in Build Team and republished the
project but it keeps reverting back to committed.

I'm trying to stop the tasks from appearing on the resource timesheet
so they don't keep adding time to it.

It should not matter if they have actuals or not. Are you trying to
prevent all tasks for all resources, or for a specific resource?

Also, are you republishing resource assignments or just the project?
You need to republish resource assignments with the booking type
changed to Proposed to remove the task from the timesheet.

I only republished the project and not the assignments so it all works
perfectly now. Can you help me with one more thing... i've followed
the procedure by Project Experts on archiving completed projects in
project server database and I was wondering if those closed projects
will still show up on OLAP reports that we set up.

Rosa --

Yes, the archived projects will show up in your Portfolio Analyzer views.
However, if you do not want to see them, you can modify the view to exclude
archived projects. Hope this helps.
