changing bullet format in text areas

Hi!

First to mention: I know how to change bullet formatting in individual cases
and bullet formatting via slide master. However, when creating a new slide
and deleting the placeholders created automatically, then creating a new text
box and writing text in it, the bullet format chosen by me in the slide
master does not work anymore. How can I change the bullet formatting used in
each new text box?

Thanks for any answers!

jrachor,
Create your text box just as you want it with your bullets formatted to your
needs. Then Right
click on the box and choose Format Text Box, at the bottom of the dialog
choose box Default for new objects, hit OK. Now all textboxes should be
formatted in the way for the current presentation.

Hi Luc,

thank you for this hint. Unfortunately I have the feeling that absolutely
nothing changes, when I do this. No alignment, listing format, etc. is
recognized in new text boxes. What can be the reason for this - do you have
any ideas?

Thanks for any further help!

jrachor,
Right click on the formatted box and choose default AutoShapes. Does that
help?

This in combination with Steve's comments helped, yet it only keeps some
settings, but not the bullet formatting ...

jrachor,
I think I misunderstood your question, I was under the impression you meant
you wanted to format textboxes you draw yourself and not the standard
placeholders, which you delete for some reason. As Steve said you can format
the bullets in the master placeholder and this will be applied to all slides
that use that master.

Luc, Steve, thank you again for your help! I tried out Steve's addin and it
definitely worked fine. Thanks!
