Changing case (capitalization) in Excel

A

Andrea

We just purchased a huge mailing list and all the entries
are in caps; I would like to convert them to standard
(initial cap) case without having to do a find and replace
for every entry on the list. I KNOW there has to be a
logical way to do this but I can't find it anywhere. Can
anyone help?

I only know that you can use the "PROPER" function to
make all your first letters capitals if this will work
for you.
ex: PROPER("this is a TITLE") equals "This Is A Title"
found in Excel help

Andrea,
You can also go to www.asap-utilities.com and download
and install "Asap Utilities", there a lot of good
functions included in it. You will also find one that
will convert your string to the first letter being a cap
and the rest lower case under "Text". Hope you find these
utilities helpfull, I use them often.
