changing certain words

Hi-
When I set up pages using the wizard and then there is the
navigation on the left border it says something
like "home" and "up" when I've set up child pages. Is
there a way to change those words? I think it looks
confusing to go to a page, click a another page (that has
more detail on the previous page) and then see "home"
and "up". I think many of my viewers will see "home" and
automatically click there instead of "up" and it will take
them clear back to the opening page.
