Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel For individuals with color deficiency (red/green colorblind) issues... Is it possible to change the "underlines" of the proofing tools to a different shade of red and/or green or different colors altogether If so, how?
Thanks

I'm afraid there is no provision for doing so ‹ even in System Preferences.

That's too bad! Really should be able to adjust that, as there is a huge population that can't tell syntax proof underline from spell check proof underline as it looks exactly the same to them. Gonna have to start a campaign I guess. Thanks so much for the quick response.

Hello,

If text and color visibility on the screen is a problem,
you can use the system-wide shortcut Control+Command+Option+8
to invert the colors on the screen, changing white to black,
black to white and so on.

You can also adjust the display contrast from the Apple System
Preferences - Universal Access command, to make subtle colors
more vivid and thus more obvious for those who have trouble
distinguishing certain colors.

Along those lines, you can also use the OS X display
color calibration features to make certain shades and colors
more prominent.

Word 2008 already provides 16 different colors in the
Word Preferences - Track Changes menu. Unfortunately, from
what Bob is saying, it looks like they can't be changed.
(Would be nice if they could be...)

Thanks Jeff. Appreciate it! Ill definitely investigate these options and see if it helps. Yes, you would think changing those two colors would be an easy fix. I guess Mr. Gates doesn't have any employees or family with color deficiency issues...
