Changing Color of One Record in Datasheet Mode

We have a form in datasheet mode that has a recordset displayed in it.
When any given record has a particular attribute selected, we want to
display that record in a different color. Is there any way to do this?

If not, is there any alternate UI device for a recordset that would allow
this capability in Access?

We use Access 2003 but we would have the option to upgrade to 2007. The
only reason we did not upgrade to 2007 so far is because Microsoft doesn't
have any viable path in Access for well-integrated support of .NET.

If you want no more than 3 different colors, you can do this with
Conditional Formatting. In form design view, select the text box, and choose
Conditional Formatting on the Format menu.

You will be able to do this in a form with more than 3 colors. (You can in a
report, by using the Format event of the Detail(?) section.)

A2007 won't provide extra functionality here, but if you do need to use the
new file format, this might help:

I don't think it can be done in datasheet mode but you can create a
continuos form that looks like a datasheet and use conditional formatting.
