Changing color

Hi all.

I was working on project for one client and on my laptop on excel 2010 everything is working great(it is excel file with macros), but when I send to client, colors in sheets changes, and fonts are different too.

I have same font everywhere and 3 different colors of green. When client opens this file, excel sometimes crashes, and when it doesn't crash, color are changed to blue and grey. Fonts are different in cells. Few different fonts are there even I have only 1 font.

I don't know what is problem. Here its working great, but on client pc excel file is way more different then on my laptop. Client has same windows andsame excel as I am.

Oh, one more thing. On client pc, excel file is read only file. But, I didn't put read only on file so client can modify something if he or she wants.

As I said. On my laptop everything is working perfectly. On clients, everything is different.

i have the same problem as you, i hope that someone have a solution,
but i admit that i doubt it

how do you create the colors into the sheet? If you do it with VBA, an
earlier version than xl2007 can't work with TintAndShade and sometimes
it will chrash.
Colors will change if the PCs don't work with the same Theme Colors.
The color difference will be more extreme if your workbook is opend with
an Excel version with only 56 colors.

i haven't used vba, i just applied the color that (light brown) it
appears in the "theme color", when my colleague opens the file, the
color is not the same, on her pc the color it is green
i would point out that i have not modified any color on theme color

color a cell light brown.
Then go to Page Layout => Theme colors.
Now hoover over the different Theme Colors and you see that the color
will change.
So if your colleague uses another Theme Color she has other colors.

our pc were all purchased new and configured with win 7 pro office 2010,
we are all self-employed so there is no server, all pc are configured
with a single admistrateur user

Win XP PRof SP2 / Vista Ultimate SP2

Office 2003 SP2 /2007 Ultimate SP2

On my laptop and client pc everything is same. Same windows, same excel(same office) but file on my laptop isnt same as on client pc.

File has few sheets with same color on every sheet. I added new sheet to that file with same colors. Only new sheet isnt working at clients pc, rest of sheets are working fine, with all colors like it supposed to be.

I made new excel file just with that sheet, and it worked perfectly with client. But that file didn't work. I don't know what is problem. As I said, on my laptop everything is working great, on clients new tab isnt working.

I have office 2010, windows 7 ultimate, client has same...
