Changing Contact Data and Forwarding

When I change the data in a Contact and forward it to my boss, when he saves the forwarded Contact it doesn't modify the data in his existing Contact with the same name. Instead he gets a second Contact entry with the same name as the first.

Is there a way for him to save the forwarded Contact so that it overwrites his existing one?
