Changing Default Area Code

Dear Folks,

Running Outlook 2003, I need to change the default area
code. I believe that Outlook picks up the "home" area
code from dialing properties. However, I don't use the
dial up modem so am unable to change the dial up
properties

1) Is there a way within Outlook to set the default area
code,

2) Or alternately, how can I change the dial up
properties if the modem isn't connected to a phone line.

I don't understand. You can still set your default area code even if you
don't use your modem.

It's an OS setting.
You never posted your OS.
