changing default for Tracking Method

MS Project Server 2007/MS Outlook 2007 & 2003

I am wanting to change the default Tracking Method (I have full admin
rights). Instructions I have (finally) located state
"Click the Task Settings and Display link in the Time and Task Management
section of the [Server Settings] page."

But I do not have this option available under "Time and Task Management".
The only option displayed is "Close Tasks to Update"

If the only option you have under the Time and Task Management section is
Close Tasks to Update, then you do not have full Administrator priviledges
in Project Server 2007. Ask your Project Server administrator to add you to
the Administrators group and then remove you from all other security Groups
in PWA. Hope this helps.

hi Dale,

I am in the Administrator group. Even when I log in as the Administrator I
do not see that option.

Another question - If I am in the Administrator group should I remove myself
from the other groups? I am also the Project Manager here.

Tks

I discovered the problem. I had turned off the permissions for Timesheets as
we don't use this within pwa. This included the action "Manage Time Tracking"
hence I couldn't see the "Tasks Settings and Display' option.
