Changing default language in Entourage

V

VO

I use Entourage to write e-mail in English and Latvian, but have English
specified as the default language, but for some reason, Entourage has decided
to display my calendar in Czech. I don't speak or write Czech, nor do I want
to (though I now know my months and days of week in Czech), so how do I get
my calendar back to English?

The problem started when I upgraded the Mac to 10.5 (I think it's Leopard..
I can't keep track of which animal is the latest....)

Entourage picks up its calendar settings from the both the International and
Date & Time settings in System Preferences. Quit Entourage, make sure the
correct format is selected in System Preferences in both sections, then
restart Entourage.

That's what I assumed (though I have never set up my computer for Czech), so
I have changed the language, restarted, rebooted, removed Latvian, restart,
reboot, etc. No matter what I do, the calendar (and dates for e-mail) remain
in Czech.

Is there some setting I can change somewhere to force it to English?

Sorry, I can't help you any further. Maybe other users who have
experienced a similar problem will be able to help you. Have you checked
any Latvian Mac newsgroups to see if this is a generally known problem?

I have had this problem with Entourage 2004 (And Excel 2004) for the longest time, and have never found a way to fix it. In my case, although I want the default language to be English, I get Swedish instead. Fortunately I read Swedish, but it is DAMNED annoying.

I would like to try trashing the preferences for Entourage (and Excel), and then getting Entourage to rebuild it the next time it starts. But am afraid of deleting the wrong files in the ~Library/Preferences/... folder.

Can someone please tell me which is the correct Entourage preference file to trash?

Sorry, I forgot to add that the same problem is happening with Entourage 2008 and Excel 2008.
