The date is a Word field, probably TIME or DATE. Change it to CREATEDATE.
You can see all the field codes by pressing Alt-F9. Make the change, press
Alt-F9 again and then F9 to update the field. Use a template with the
CREATEDATE field already in place to create your new documents. Don't use
Insert => Date menu commands.
