Changing feet and inches from decimal

I would like my dimensions to display in feet and inches with out the
decimal ( 12'6")

I have tried selecting "feet and inches" in the properties but it still
displays as a decimal.

I think it should be possible. How can I do that?

The steps I have tested successfully are as follows.
Put your mouse on the dimension, press right hand button, select menu
"accuracy and units", and change unit to "feet-inch" in the custom
property window.
