Changing fill color in grid columns

Hi there,

I am trying to change the fill color on some grid columns from white to
gray, but for some reason the fill is not applying to the cells. In the fill
menu, I am selecting:

Color: 14 (which is a shade of gray)
Pattern: 01 Solid

Nothing else is selected, yet each time I hit Apply and OK, the cell remains
white.

Am I missing something here? I can't figure out why the color isn't
changing. It shouldn't be this hard...

Have you got cell transparency enabled?
