I have a Japanese-based document that I'm re-writing in English.
No matter what I do, though, I cannot convince Word that the English is not
Japanese. I try changing the font from MSゴシック to Times New Roman, but it
won't. I try changing the language tro English, but it remains Japanese
despite the fact there are no Japanese characters.
I try these changes with single characters highlighted, just the paragraph
mark highlighted, and the entire paragraph with and without the paragraph
mark highlighted. Nothing affects the text.
What is the hidden setting that won't allow the font/language to change?
This happens periodically with some documents, though not with others.
