Changing graphics & photos to CYMK

How do I change only the graphics and photos in my
Publisher document to CYMK? When I change to CYMK, the
entire document (including text) is changed.

Help!

I don't understand this request of your printers'. What colour is the
text now, and exactly what's happening to it when you convert? What do
they want it in instead of CMYK -- do they want spot colour on its own
plate(s)? If so, you'll have to set the document up with five (or more)
colours -- "process plus spot" -- and assign spot ink(s) you define to
the text in question.

Kelly,

What program are you using to create the PDF? In acrobat, there is an
option to convert gray text to postscript gray.

The more information you can provide, including the programs you use and
the programs your printer uses, the better the help that can be provided.
