changing individual cell after initial entry

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

On a PC, in Excel it is possible to change cell contents after an initial entry. On my MAC Excel, I can't find a way to be able to change a cell after I've already entered information. How do I make this adjustment? Can anyone help? Thanks.

My preferred method - PC or Mac - is to select the cell & do my editing in
the Formula Bar... I find it far more efficient with fewer distractions :)

If you prefer to edit in the cell either double-click it or select the cell
then key Control+U. If neither of those produce the desired effect go to
Excel> Preferences - Edit, check the box for "Double-Click allows editing
directly in the cell".

I've used Formula Bar on Excel 2004.

But on 2008 there is no 2004 style formula bar. you have to access it
through the formula tool box. everything is so little if you have to
wear glasses you got to squint to see it.

If it's "fixed", don't "break it"!

Huh???

Have you looked a bit further down in the View menu to select Formula Bar?
It's not much different in appearance from 2004's & functionally it works in
the exact same way. The glitch is just in the fact that it doesn't dock in
the Workbook window - it only floats or docks just beneath the Menu Bar.

Thanks Glad I don't have to use that awful formula wizard. I have enough
trouble with my eyesight.
