Since I had no luck with this on Tuesday, I thought maybe
re-posting it would give me another chance at getting
help. Thanks!

Hi there,
We are currently in the process of disabling one of our
servers, the one that has the installation point of Office
2000 on it. How do I go about to make sure that the next
time someone needs to upgrade, or re-install a feature in
office, the computer knows where to pull the files from?
Probably a registry entry to modify, but which one? Is
there an easier way to do this, considering that I would
have to go and manually change over 200 PCs?

Thanks for all your help,
Natacha

No, it just pisses people off that you can't learn to be a little patient.
Posting again less than 48 hours after the first time is NOT the way to
ensure a reply. The correct way to do that is to WAIT! This is NOT an email
support group, nor is it MS technical support.
