changing language default problems more help required!

Thanks for the advice, but that is the very thing that
does not seem to be working. It does not matter how I try
to follow the instructions, say yes to the default request
etc etc, it does not change the default language, and if
in a document it does not even change the language of the
document. I have even attempted to restart the system and
it still will not change from English (US).

Does anyone have any other ideas?

sure to what suggestions you're reacting, but...

Did you try the article on language formatting in the TIPS
section of my website?

You must set the language in Control Panel | Regional Options, which is
where Word gets its default. To change the language of an existing document,
you must Select All (Ctrl+A) and then change the language.
