CHANGING LINE NUMBERS IN EXCEL
Excel 2004 Version 11.2.5
System: Mac OS 10.3.9 / Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5

PROBLEM: I have a document listing an inventory of exactly 600 objects. When I add a header row and title information on page one, I can't get the "preset" Excel line #s to match the number of objects in my inventory. In other words, my list is 1-600, but Excel is 1-604.

QUESTION: Is there a way to "suppress" the Excel line #s, or redefine the point where they start.

Thanks for your help!

If you mean the row numbers in the extreme left, no there is no way to
change these. Why don't you just add another column containing the line
numbers as you want them?
