I've just recently started using OS X and Office X. Nice . . ., but one
feature of Office 2001/OS 9 that I sorely miss is the ability to use the
Location Manager to change the set of active schedules in Entourage. I
arranged it so I had easy way to switch among three sets of schedules:
(1) regular daytime: check main mail account every 10 mins. but don't check
other accounts (other accounts being for mailing lists etc. -- i.e., stuff I
didn't want to be distracted by during my working day);
(2) evening/weekend: check all accounts hourly, and
(3) out: check main account every 10 mins., forward work-related messages
(but not attachments) to mobile phone.
I can't find this feature documented in Entourage X, nor does changing the
location setting (System preference) seem to affect the set of active
schedules.
Am I missing something, or am I correct to judge that the "Location
Manager-savvy" function is unavailable with OS X/Entourage X? And if so, is
there any way of achieving a similar arrangement, i.e., easy switching among
sets of active schedules. (It would be nice to be able to switch among sets
of active rules at the same time, something that I couldn't do with OS
9/Entourage 2001.)
TIA
