Changing location of Microsoft User Data folder

Hi

Is it possible to relocate the Microsoft User Data folder (so that user's
are less likely to inadvertently delete it)?

Hi Craig:

Ah HAH!! Another sensible fellow like myself :)

I have been campaigning for this through three versions of Office. The good
news is: Yes, you can. The bad news is "But it's not a very good idea".
The even worse news is "Occasionally, the users need to be able to find it
and do things with it. If you hide it, you will get all manner of
dysfunctional behaviour, from both the applications and the users."

You can replace the thing with a SymLink that directs to another part of the
system.

But my recommendation is "Don't". You will make a rod for your own back.

Instead, tell all your users that all their mail and all their templates are
in there, and if they trash it, they will lose the lot.

Cheers

Command+Click the MUD folder, select a color (Red works fine) then tell them
not to mess with any red folders.
