Changing mailbox from client to server

Hi all
Outlook 2003 as client to Exchange 2003 Server
Everything works fine - but can anyone tell me the
best practices for setting-up the users mailboxes
on the server. Even the accepted method would help - or point me
to a MS document.
Ex linux mail guy trying to get into MS stuff
