Changing my ink

When I draw using the pen (using a desktop, not tablet), OneNote seems to
make straight lines out of what I drew as curved. This isn't really noticable
at 100% zoom, but when you zoom in close, if you draw a circle it might be
turned into a square. Why does OneNote seem to change everything I draw into
a straight line? If I didn't draw a straight line, that means I don't want a
straight line.

OneNote really doesn't have that capability. It must be coincidence, or I
would guess whatever you're using to "draw."

Most people complain of the opposite - that it's too tough to draw straight
lines in the current version.

What "pen" are you using to draw with your desktop? I would guess that it's
what is adjusting your curves.

I'm just using a mouse. If I'm trying to draw a curved line though, I don't
want it to be turning into a straight line. I don't know if this has anything
to do with it, or even if I'm allowed to say this, but I'm using the beta
version.

I have no explanation for it in OneNote. There is no correction of input in
OneNote. It probably is the way the mouse software is actually sending the
signal. The mouse sampling rate is one-third or less than that you'll find
on the digitized input of a Tablet PC, and therefore even less accurate.
OneNote itself does not do any auto-correction.

In that case, you should be posting this is the beta newsgroups, not the
public newsgroups.

Post your question in the beta groups then; you should know that we're not
supposed to discuss the beta software in the public groups.
