Changing My Office License Key Number

J

JCO

I can't find my MS Office 2003 Professional CD so I installed with someone
else's CD. Of course, right after that, I found my CD. I now want to
change the keycode back to my number.

I downloaded a tool that did not work and was reading on the internet. It
says if I delete two keys in the registry then open any of the products, it
will prompt me for the key (at which I can enter my key). Instead if fails.
It seems to think that my key is not valid... which it is.

The two Registry Keys are below (under HKLM\software\Microsoft\Office 11):
DigitalProductID
ProductID

I don't want to uninstall and reinstall if possible because I already
installed all the updates and some plug-ins.

J

JCO

So how about a reference and I will read it.

Okay,
My original question refers to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895456/en-us
and the fact that this method did not work. I deleted the two keys then
opened Word. A box comes up and I enter my correct License. Then it tells
me that my License is not valid.

Sorry about the multiple post, I did not know which area to post too.
