Changing name/email addy in existing account

Got a question for you. I've had this email address for years amd the spam
is getting to the point it is intolerable. So I was wondering if I could
simply change the name and email address in outlook 2002. Would all the
folders, past email and addy book simply stay with the new name? The way I
was going to do it is tools/E-mail Accounts/View or Change/Change and then
simply change the name and email address. I've set up express to platy catch
on the oldemail address for a month or so to be sure I catch and update
email adress to all the one I want to keep.
