Hi everyone,
Please could somebody help me with the following. First, some
background explanation:
I have created a series of styles to help me create an outlined list.
For example:
Style 1 - 1.1 Heading
Style 2 - 1.1.1 Sub-heading
I have set things up for automatic numbering, so one of my documents
might look like this:
1.1 Heading (style 1)
1.1.1 Sub-heading (style 2)
1.1.2 Another sub-heading (style 2)
1.2 Another heading (style 1)
My problem:
When I come to a new 'section' of my document I want to alter my
styles so that they increment, e.g.
2.1 Heading (style 1)
2.1.1 Sub-heading (style 2)
2.1.2 Sub-heading (style 2)
2.2 Another heading (style 1)
Currently, this doesn't happen 'cos I've set my styles up in a dumb
fashion, where the first number of the heading is fixed, e.g.
1.1 Heading
The first '1' is fixed and the second '.1' increments
How do I get out of this revolting predicament!
Cheers,
