Changing numerous files at once

I want to change the page settings for numerous files and
wonder if this can be done or if I need to go into each
one separately...anyone know this one?

There's no built-in mechanism. A sort of half-way measure you could use:
record a macro while you fix the settings on one document, including saving
and closing the document. Save the macro in Normal.dot under the name
AutoOpen. This will run whenever any document is opened.

Then in Windows Explorer you can select an entire directory of Word
documents, right-click and select Open. Delete the macro when you've done
all your documents.
